God is Pleading with You!

“Say unto them,
As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have NO PLEASURE in the DEATH OF THE WICKED; but that the wicked TURN FROM HIS WAY and LIVE: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?” –Ezekiel 33:11 (KJV)

God hates to see souls go to Hell. That is an undeniable, irrefutable, God-ordained, biblical fact according to Ezekiel 33.

The Bible clearly states that God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked. God’s only desire is for the wicked to turn from their evil ways and turn unto God. The latter half of verse 11 asks a question, “…for WHY will ye DIE, O house of Israel?” The answer to that question is found in Romans 3:23:

“For the WAGES OF SIN is DEATH…” –Romans 6:23a (KJV)

The Bible is very lucid that when we do not turn from our wicked ways to Jesus Christ, the consequence (the wages, the earnings) for our sin is death. In fact, even saved, born-again believers will experience physical death because we are born into this world with a sin nature. All of us will experience physical death (unless the Rapture takes place before we die). However, there is a remarkable difference between dying IN your sins, which means spiritual AND physical death, and dying forgiven (freed) from your sins. God doesn’t want you to die in your sins, my friend, because when you die in your sins, you will not just die once, you will die TWICE according to Revelation 21:8. As we saw in Ezekiel 33, God doesn’t want that to happen. God wants you to turn unto Jesus and seek His face, that you might be saved. Let’s take a look at a few verses:

Isaiah 55:6, “¶ SEEK YE THE LORD WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND, CALL YE upon him WHILE HE IS NEAR:”

Zephaniah 2:3, “Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought HIS JUDGMENT, SEEK RIGHTEOUSNESS, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the DAY OF THE LORD’S ANGER.“

The Bible tells us to seek the Lord while he may be found and to call upon Him while He is near. You might be asking, “Well, what have I done wrong such that I am deserving of death in a place called Hell?” The Bible tells us in Zephaniah 2:3 that we have “wrought HIS JUDGMENT.” We are all born with a sin nature because of the sin of Adam and Eve. None of us can present ourselves justified before God. Sin brings judgment and damnation upon our souls. Sin separates us from God, and leaves us helpless, devoid of the fellowship which God longed for us to have with Him. We have wrought HIS judgment. The New Testament speaks of this as well in Romans 3.

Rom 3:10, “As it is written, There is NONE RIGHTEOUS, no, NOT ONE:”

Rom 3:23, “For ALL HAVE SINNED, and COME SHORT of the GLORY OF GOD;”

Rom 3:19b, “…that EVERY MOUTH may be STOPPED, and ALL THE WORLD may become GUILTY BEFORE GOD.“

Because of sin, there is not a righteous person that has ever walked the face of this earth, with the exception of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible declares that all have sinned, and that we have all come short of the glory (truth) of God. The Bible also states that all the world is guilty before God. Because of our sin nature, God proclaims us as guilty sinners, condemned to Hell, that are undeserving of the eternal Rest of God’s Eternal Heaven.

(Hebrews 3:10-11) “Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. {11} So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)”

After reading these verses, you might be asking: “Well, if God has no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked, why then did He proclaim the whole world guilty and why did He did not provide a way out of this eternal and everlasting place called Hell, that burns with fire unquenchable to punish all the unsaved forever and ever?” Well, God did provide a Way out: Jesus Christ.

“JESUS saith unto him, I AM THE WAY…NO MAN COMETHunto the Father, but by me.” –John 14:6a,c

John 10:9a, “I am THE DOOR: by me IF ANY MAN ENTER IN, he shall be SAVED…”

Jesus Christ is the only way, He is the only door to Heaven according to these two verses. However, mankind has invented many false ways of getting to Heaven, and therefore many people are confused on how to get Heaven. One such FALSE WAY is by good works.

Many people falsely believe that they can be saved if they do enough good and get baptized and attend Church every Sunday. However, none of these things will ever get you into Heaven. The Bible says that the only way through Heaven is through believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” –Acts 16:31 (KJV)

John 10:1, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, HE THAT ENTERETH NOT BY THE DOOR into the sheepfold, but CLIMBETH UP SOME OTHER WAY, the same is a THIEF AND A ROBBER.“

The Word of God clearly states that it is only by belief in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that one can be saved. Salvation CANNOT be obtained by baptism, it CANNOT be obtained by Church attendance, and certainly CANNOT be obtained by showing a pattern of good works. There are several false doctrines and heresies that even claim that you must do good works in order to be saved. THAT IS WICKEDNESS! The Bible makes it clear that he that entereth not by the door…but climbeth up some other way is a thief and a robber. There are many thieves in robbers who are trying to pervert the very simple Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and change it into a complicated FALSE GOSPEL that will ultimately lead people straight to Hell.

God is tugging, my friend, for you to BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and be saved TODAY, my friend. Jesus said this:

Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I STAND AT THE DOOR, and KNOCK: if any man HEAR MY VOICE, and OPEN THE DOOR, I WILL COME INTO HIM, and will SUP WITH HIM, and HE WITH ME.“

Jesus promises that if you simply TRUST HIM to save your soul, He will come into your heart and have fellowship with you. Through His Blood, you will be able to escape the eternal punishment and damnation of Hell, and have a new, eternal life in Christ, one filled with the insearchable riches of Christ.

Today, my friend, today, God is pleading with you. He wants you to come to Jesus and be saved! Will you accept Him or will you take for granted his longsuffering and goodness? If you would like to know how to be saved, please read and follow the steps below. May God bless you as you desire to be saved from your sins, and have a new life in Christ.

First, you must understand that God loves sinners. John 3:16 reads, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God loves you and he does not want you to perish, He wants you to have everlasting life in His Glorious Kingdom.

Second, you must understand that no one is worthy. Without the saving blood of Jesus Christ, no one is worthy to be called “righteous”. Romans 3:10 reads, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

Third, you must understand that all have sinned. We are all born with a sinful nature because of the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden. All of us have sinned against God. This also means that all of us need salvation. Romans 3:23 reads, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Fourth, you must understand that the penalty of sin is death in Hell. If you do not accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior from your sins, you have a future in Hell. Romans 6:23 reads, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Salvation is a gift and if we accept it, we’ll have eternal life in Heaven, not in Hell.

Fifth, you must understand that Jesus died for all. Romans 5:8 reads, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” While we were still sinners in a dark and cruel world, Christ died for all of us because He loved us. The punishments for sin reflect God’s just and holy judgment, whereas His gift of salvation commends his love for us.

Sixth, you must understand that Jesus is the only Way to Heaven. Acts 4:12 reads, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Jesus himself says in John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” The only way to Heaven and having a personal relationship with the One who created you is through Christ Jesus.

Seventh, you must understand that God wants you to know for sure that you’re saved. 1 John 5:13 reads, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

Eighth, you must confess and believe in order to be truly saved. The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead: thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Finally, call on Jesus to be saved! Romans 10:13 reads, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Once you’ve confessed in your mouth and believed in your heart, you’re saved forever! Praise God!

"I do not doubt that we would become more useful if we praised God more, and others would join us, for they would see that God has blessed us."

~Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892)
